Acivir Skin Cream 5gm (Acyclovir) is a nucleoside analogue. It inhibits viral DNA polymerase, preventing viral replication. The virus incorporates acyclovir into its DNA, leading to chain termination and ultimately inhibiting viral replication. It's more effective against actively replicating viruses.
