Cefpodoxime

Proxetil a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic effective against a wide range of bacteria.

Lactobacillus

A beneficial bacterium that helps restore the balance of gut flora.

Treatment of bacterial infections susceptible to cefpodoxime, such as respiratory tract infections (e.g., bronchitis, pneumonia), skin and soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, and ear infections.

Prevention or reduction of antibioticassociated diarrhea (AAD) caused by disruption of gut microbiota by cefpodoxime.

Cefpodoxime inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death. Lactobacillus helps restore the normal gut flora, potentially reducing the risk of antibiotic-associated diarrhea by competing with pathogenic bacteria and producing beneficial substances.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiry date.

Dosage should be as prescribed by your doctor. Do not alter the dose or duration of treatment without consulting your doctor.

Generally, the medication is taken orally with or without food. Follow the instructions on the prescription label.

Complete the entire course of antibiotics, even if symptoms improve, to prevent recurrence of infection.
