Daorid 5mg Tab (Glibenclamide) is a sulfonylurea drug that works by stimulating the release of insulin from the pancreas. It helps to lower blood sugar levels by increasing the sensitivity of the body's cells to insulin.
Store glibenclamide at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. Keep it in the original container to protect it from light. Do not use the medication after the expiration date.
The dosage of glibenclamide will be determined by your doctor, based on your individual needs and response to the medication.
It is typically taken orally, once or twice daily, with meals.
It's important to follow your doctor's instructions carefully and to take the medication exactly as prescribed.

Alcohol can increase the risk of hypoglycemia, so it's important to limit alcohol intake while taking glibenclamide.
Glibenclamide can cause hypoglycemia, which can affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. If you experience symptoms of hypoglycemia, do not drive or operate machinery until your blood sugar level has returned to normal.
Glibenclamide should not be used during pregnancy, as it can harm the developing baby. It's also not recommended for breastfeeding mothers.
Glibenclamide is not generally recommended for children.
Patients with kidney disease may require a lower dosage of glibenclamide.
Patients with liver disease may need to be monitored more closely for side effects.
