Ebastine competitively blocks histamine H1 receptors, preventing histamine-mediated allergic reactions. Montelukast blocks the cysteinyl leukotriene receptors (CysLT1), reducing inflammation and bronchoconstriction. The combination provides a broader approach to managing allergic symptoms than either drug alone.
