Norfloxacin

Is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic.

Treatment of uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTIs)

Treatment of uncomplicated gonorrhea (in some formulations)

Treatment of certain types of bacterial diarrhea (e.g., traveler's diarrhea caused by E. coli)

Treatment of other bacterial infections as prescribed by a doctor.

Harflox 400mg Tab (Norfloxacin) inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, essential enzymes for bacterial DNA replication and repair. This action leads to bacterial cell death.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage varies depending on the infection being treated and the patient's condition. Always follow your doctor's instructions.

Take with a full glass of water.

Avoid taking antacids or mineral supplements within 2 hours of taking norfloxacin, as these can reduce absorption.

Complete the full course of prescribed medication even if symptoms improve.

Children

Use is generally not recommended for children unless specifically prescribed by a doctor due to the risk of cartilage damage.



Kidney

Dosage adjustment may be necessary for patients with kidney impairment.
