Treatment of epilepsy and seizure disorders (e.g., absence seizures, myoclonic seizures, generalized tonicclonic seizures).
Treatment of bipolar disorder (manic episodes).
Treatment of migraine headaches (prophylactic use).
Valprol Cr 600mg Tab (Sodium Valproate)'s exact mechanism isn't fully understood, but it's believed to increase levels of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain, thereby reducing neuronal excitability and preventing seizures. It may also affect other neurotransmitters and ion channels.
