Rivaroxaban

Rivaroxaban is the active ingredient in the medication.It belongs to a class of drugs called factor Xa inhibitors.Rivaroxaban works by preventing blood clots from forming.

Prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) in patients undergoing elective hip or knee replacement surgery.

Treatment of DVT and PE.

Prevention of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (AFib).

Treatment of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in combination with aspirin.

Xarelto 15mg 14s Tab (Rivaroxaban) works by inhibiting the activity of factor Xa, a key enzyme in the coagulation cascade. By blocking factor Xa, rivaroxaban prevents the formation of blood clots.

Store rivaroxaban at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F). Protect from light and moisture.

The dosage of rivaroxaban will vary depending on the reason for taking it and your individual needs.

Take rivaroxaban exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Swallow the tablets whole with water.

Do not crush, break, or chew the tablets.

Alcohol Consumption

It is generally recommended to avoid alcohol while taking rivaroxaban, as it can increase the risk of bleeding.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Rivaroxaban may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medicine affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Rivaroxaban should not be used during pregnancy unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks. It is not known if rivaroxaban passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of taking this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.



Children

Rivaroxaban is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

If you have kidney problems, your doctor may need to adjust your dose.



Liver

If you have liver problems, your doctor may need to adjust your dose.
